Senior Portrait Notes
-natural look for parents
-high fashion for seniors
-let them bring their own outfits, but make sure they bring an outfit for a studio photo
-seniors want edgy, editorial, personal photos

10 Portraiture Examples
Bill Hench Serious I like this photo because it's abstract and very different than a lot of senior pictures. |
Bill Hench Smile I like this picture because it's simple and it shows what the girl is into. |
Bill Hench Serious I like this photo because the colors work well together and the corn makes leading lines. |
Colleen & Co Serious I like this photo because it's different but it's also somewhat simple. |
Bill Hench Candid I like this photo because the horse and the girl are both looking at the same place. I don't like that the gate is in the photo. |
Bill Hench Serious I like this photo (and the next) because they are different than others and have an interesting overlay. |
Bill Hench Candid (Above) |
Camera Box Serious I like this photo because it shows what the person does with their time. I don't like the vignette. |
Camera Box Candid I like this photo because of her hair being the only thing that's colored. Again, I don't like the vignette. |
Camera Box Smile I like this photo because it's simple, but it's also colorful at the same time. |

Elaine Gates Recap
I learned that you should move around your subjects when they're in one spot. You don't even have to make them move whenever you move to a different angle. I also learned that January through March are not good business months.
